Woodworking
Woodworking has been a life-long hobby and has allowed me to be creative with wood.
Working with the colors and grain of native and recycled woods, I am able to create beautiful
yet functional projects ranging from simple foot stools and vases to tables and desks.
This was a fun project - a simple, small
rowboat for our pond. My first attempt
at boatbuilding and it floats!
A writing desk made from poplar with
glass and some creative staining.
Dining room table - made from locally harvested
black ash with accents of cherry and walnut.
A couple of small
tables (oak, poplar,
ash and cedar) with
marquetry and wood
mosaic work.
This was
another fun
project - a
completely
recycled  table
made from 5/4"
pine from a
huge shipping
pallet.
A desk made from poplar with walnut accents,
marble tiles and stained glass
A Scandinavian styled chair to
match an existing loveseat.
Made with cherry wood.
A desk project made with cedar
branches and sticks with a recycled
granite top.
Creativity is inventing, experimenting,
growing, taking risks, breaking rules,
making mistakes, and having fun.
